In 1985, the Kansas Continuing Legal Education Commission began requiring lawyers to participate in formal continuing legal education. KU Continuing Legal Education (KU CLE) is a partnership between KU Professional & Continuing Education (KUPCE) and the distinguished KU Law School that provides legal professionals in Kansas with the tools and training they need to meet their CLE requirements.
Clerkships. KU Law’s curriculum equips law students with the legal knowledge and practice-ready skills needed to succeed. Clerkships are available in both federal and state courts. Law students interested in applying for clerkships are aided by the law school’s Judicial Clerkship Committee and the Career Services Office.Students work nearly full-time in field placements and take courses from KU Law faculty. Supported by a Midwest-friendly network of KU Law alumni in the D.C. metro area, the program opens doors for students in Washington and beyond.
